The Table

A table fit for home or office. Solid steel legs, wood top, and solid brass hardware give a sense of honesty and quality to the object. The attachment method of the top, along with the symmetry of the legs, allows the user to rotate the base 90º, to see the table from a totally new vantage point. This rotational aspect allows for change in one's environment. The legs have a sense of stability, and along with the curved truss, pulls the user in, inviting them to use the table for any task.

Inspiration

There is something very wonderful about a hexagon. It nests with itself in a stable manor. It can be found in many of nature's different elements from snow to stone. This table takes the hexagon, bisects the shape, and stacks upon itself in a outward manor. This utilized the stability of a hexagon, and on a polished floor, will complete the hexagon.

Only three materials are needed for this table.  Wood, steel and brass. 

As shown: 2540mm L x 1270mm W x 762mm H. Could be configurable to most any size. Can be flat packed to be 175mm thick. 

Gershwin Sofa

The Sofa

The sofa holds its own form and calls itself to be the centerpiece in the room in which it resides. Surrounded in rich Walnut, the knit wool fabric is inviting your hand to graze over the tight but soft volumes that make up the seat and armrests.  It borrows the same bisected hexagon legs from the table, allowing it to float off the ground, yet with a stable and honest stance.

Specifications

Wood, steel and wool. Hand tied springs for quality comfort.
